Ron Rubino is a real estate appraiser and consultant with nearly four decades of experience valuing a wide range of property types across New York State. As the President and founder of GAR Appraisal LLC, Ron takes a hands-on approach to each assignment, combining deep market knowledge with a commitment to customer service and integrity.

Mr. Rubino holds the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, reflecting the highest standards in the industry. His expertise spans general commercial, multi-family, tax certiorari, litigation support, and complex valuation matters. He’s been qualified as an expert witness in courts throughout New York and has provided appraisal reports for government agencies including the U.S. Department of Justice, New York State Supreme Court and the New York State Court of Claims.

Ron earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo, with concentrations in Accounting and Finance. He became a New York State Licensed Salesperson in 1986 and has held a Certified General Appraiser License (#46-4421) since 1991. His qualifications include completion of the Appraisal Institute’s Comprehensive Exam and state-level certification exams.

Ron believes in giving back to the profession. He has served multiple terms as President of the Appraisal Institute’s Western New York–Ontario Chapter and remains active in professional development. He’s also an approved seminar instructor with both the Appraisal Institute and New York State, frequently leading seminars and guest lecturing at institutions such as the University at Buffalo Law School, Erie County Bar Association, and the International Association of Assessing Officers.

He has appraised most property types imaginable—from retail centers, mansions, apartments, nursing homes, office buildings, and hotels, to industrial complexes, contaminated sites, farmland, waterfront estates, and solar farms. He has also conducted detailed impact studies on how environmental or controversial land uses—such as landfills, wind farms, and industrial plants—can affect surrounding property values.
